CEO and cofounder, Klick Health
When you’re the CEO and cofounder of the largest healthcare marketing agency in North America, it’s safe to assume you wield some influence. But when you’re talking about Klick Health’s Leerom Segal, the question becomes: Influence in how many separate arenas?
Under the leadership of the Israeli-born Segal, Klick has seen double-digit revenue growth nearly every year, closing in on $300 million in 2018. That growth has allowed — and is due in part to — the fact that Segal has changed the very definition of a healthcare marketing firm to include events, product development, deep tech chops and startup incubator.
A recent trip to Klick’s Toronto office saw Segal proudly showing off the firm’s capabilities in applied math and engineering, as well as a hardware development lab to rival those found at some of the titans of manufacturing. The firm has also dabbled in composition, creating an AI Concerto with the Hollywood Philharmonic.
Segal’s next frontier: Sucking up all the top talent in the health space. Klick went on a hiring spree in 2019, hiring marketing and advertising heavyweights such as creative force Rich Levy from FCB Health, managing director Dr. Daniel Drexler from The Neighborhood and Dr. Joseph Barbagallo from CDM.
Don’t look for anything to slow down Segal — not even the birth of his first child earlier this year.
